Today at around 4 AM, I woke up at my usual time. I did my morning routine. I went to check on my mother, she'd been fighting esophageal cancer for close to 7 months now. As I walked over to check her, I already knew that she had finally found peace, she was no longer in pain. Right now all I feel is numb. For the next few days I'll have many things that I need to do, places I'll need to go, choices I'll need to make. Never the less, I have not been swayed from meaningful artistic expression, so I have taken to writing poetry, and not the angst-ridden self-pity kind either. ;)  My first set are...you guessed it, in haiku form inspired by my favorite show, Avatar: The Last Air Bender! I'll get to posting them over the weekend at some point I'm not feeling lazy. Oh, Monday (March 12th) is my 23rd birthday!
